As a professional Pilates teacher, my aim is to guide people towards a healthier, happier lifestyle through body awareness and movement.

 

Everybody is unique, with personal strengths and limitations. My work is to help clients become more aware of their bodies - how they move and how they should and could move if they focus, control and be precise with their movement.

​

The body might need encouraging back into health from involuntary mis-use, over-use or even trauma from accident, injury or other medical intervention. 

 

Pilates increases strength, improves range of movement, balance and coordination and most famously builds the 'core' for better spine health, body alignment and posture.

 

Together with Pilates clients grow stronger and more resilient both physically and mentally.

Rachael Smith

Lead Reformer Teacher

Rachael’s journey towards teaching Pilates began as a classically trained dancer. Her training as a professional dancer gave her the foundation to understand the biomechanics of how the body works through movement and lifestyle.

 

Rachael has nearly 20 years’ experience in the fitness industry working as a studio instructor, Personal Trainer and Studio Co – Ordinator in London. After some years she decided to specialise in more mindful movement and trained as a Pilates Instructor with the world renowned STOTT PILATES method and has been teaching Mat and Reformer sessions for 10 years teaching in one to one, small and large settings.

 

She is passionate about creating classes that are challenging, varied, balanced and fun and excellent at adapting classes to suit all levels.

Certificate of Education Diploma

  • Assessor in the Life long learning sector

  • Stott trained in mat work beginner to advanced and reformer work

  • Diploma in Performing Arts

  • Advanced ISTD Cecchetti, Ballet, Modern and Tap​

 

Fitness Industry Training

  • Diploma in Personal Training, Nutrition, Older Adults and Exercise Referral

  • Exercise to Music, Core Stability, Kettle Bells, Cardio Kick, Supple Strength, Fitness Testing, Triathlon Training, Exercise and Pregnancy Classes, Circuit Training, Indoor Cycling, Outdoor Fitness, Pilates Mat and Reformer, Suspension Training, Body Conditioning, Sports Conditioning, and Step.
